Connect Zapier
Last updated
Connecting Zapier lets your Modules start one of your Zaps by sending it an event. You choose the Zap by pasting its Catch Hook address, so a Module can only ever reach that one Zap.
What your Modules can do
- Send one event, with an event name and a few simple fields, to your Zap.
- Every send waits for your approval. The approval shows the exact message that will be sent, so you read it before the Zap runs.
Raileon does not read anything back from Zapier, and it can't see what your Zap does next. If your Zap emails customers or changes records, treat each approval as approving that too.

Create a Catch Hook in Zapier
In Zapier, make a Zap whose trigger is Webhooks by Zapier with the event Catch Hook. Copy the Custom webhook URL. It looks like
https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/123456/abcdef/.Open Apps
In your dashboard, go to Apps in the left sidebar and select Connect on the Zapier card.
Paste the address
Paste the address and select Connect. Raileon checks that it is a real Zapier Catch Hook address. It does not send a test message, because that would start your Zap.
Test it from Zapier
Ask a Module to send an event, approve it, then use Test trigger in Zapier to see the fields arrive.
Anyone who has the address can start your Zap, so keep it private. Raileon stores it encrypted and never shows it again.
Disconnect Zapier
Open Apps, find the Zapier card, and select Disconnect. To cut off the address completely, turn the Zap off or create a new Catch Hook in Zapier.
