Make your DNS changes

Last updated

If your Raileon team is managing your DNS through Cloudflare, they'll add these records for you and this task is just for your records. If DNS stays at your original registrar, you'll add them yourself.

The records

Your task in the dashboard lists the exact records to add — type, name, value, and TTL — copyable straight from the table.

1

Open your registrar's DNS settings

Log in to wherever your domain's DNS is managed and find the DNS or "Manage DNS records" section.

2

Add each record

Add these records only. Don't delete or change any existing records you don't recognise, especially MX and TXT records: they keep your email working. For each row in your task, add a new DNS record with the matching type (e.g. A, CNAME, TXT), name, and value. Use the TTL shown, or your registrar's default if none is given.

3

Save and wait

DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to take effect.

4

Mark the task done

Once you've added every record, mark this task done in your dashboard.

Not sure how to add a record?

Every registrar's interface looks a little different — search "[your registrar name] add DNS record" if you get stuck, or mark this task "I'm stuck" and your Raileon team will help.
