Connect Monday.com

Connecting Monday.com lets your Modules read your boards and, when you approve it, add items, post updates and change statuses. You paste your personal API token, which can only reach what your own Monday.com account can.
What your Modules can do
- List your boards and the items on each one, with their column values such as status and dates.
- Add a new item to a board.
- Post an update (a comment) on an item.
- Change an item's status to one of the labels on its status column.
What needs your approval
Reading boards never needs approval. Adding an item, posting an update or changing a status always waits for you: your Module drafts the change and you approve it in your dashboard before anything changes in Monday.com.
Before you start
- A Monday.com account with access to the boards you want your Modules to use.
- Your personal API token. It acts as you, so anything it can see or change is limited by your own permissions on each board.
Connect Monday.com
Open Apps
In your dashboard, go to Apps in the left sidebar and select Connect on the Monday.com card.
Copy your API token
In Monday.com, click your profile picture, open Developers, then My access tokens, and copy your personal token. You can also find it under Administration, then Connections.
Paste it and test
Paste the token into the Monday.com card in Raileon and select Test connection. The card shows Connected when it works.
Disconnect Monday.com
Open Apps, find the Monday.com card, and select Disconnect. To cut off access completely, also regenerate your personal API token in Monday.com, which makes the old one stop working.
