Connect Close

Last updated

Connecting Close lets your Modules find and update leads in your Close account. They can look up a lead before a call, keep notes current and move leads along your pipeline.

What your Modules can do

  • Search your leads by company, contact name, email or phone number.
  • Read a lead with its recent activity, such as notes, calls and emails.
  • Create a new lead, with a first contact if you have one.
  • Add a note to a lead.
  • Move a lead to a different status, for example from Potential to Qualified.

Looking things up happens straight away. Anything that changes Close (a new lead, a note or a status change) waits for your approval first. You see it in your approvals and decide whether it goes ahead.

Before you start

You need a Close user who can create an API key. The key works as that user, so your Modules see the same leads that user can see.

Connect Close

  1. Create an API key in Close

In Close, open Settings, then Developer, then API Keys. Choose New API Key, give it a name such as Raileon, and copy the key. It starts with api_.

  2. Open Apps

In your dashboard, go to Apps in the left sidebar and select Connect on the Close card.

  3. Paste the key and test it

Paste the key and select Test connection. Raileon checks it with Close before saving it.

  4. Confirm it is connected

The Close card shows Connected. Ask your AI to look up a lead to try it.

Disconnect Close

Open Apps, find the Close card and select Disconnect. To cut off access completely, also delete the API key in Close under Settings, then Developer.
