Connect Follow Up Boss

Connecting Follow Up Boss lets your Modules find people in your account, read their notes, send in new leads and add notes after a conversation.

What your Modules can do

  • Search people by name, or by email address for an exact match.
  • Read a person with their recent notes.
  • Send in a new lead. If someone with that email or phone is already in Follow Up Boss they are updated, and if not a new person is created. Follow Up Boss may then start any automations you have set up for new leads.
  • Add a note to a person.

Looking things up happens straight away. Anything that changes Follow Up Boss (a new lead or a note) waits for your approval first. You see it in your approvals and decide whether it goes ahead.

Before you start

The API key works as the team member who made it. A team member who only handles their own people will only see those people through the key, so an owner or admin key shows the most.

You only paste your API key. Raileon identifies itself to Follow Up Boss on its own.

Connect Follow Up Boss

  1. Create an API key in Follow Up Boss

    In Follow Up Boss, open Admin, then API, and choose Create API Key. Copy the key.

  2. Open Apps

    In your dashboard, go to Apps in the left sidebar and select Connect on the Follow Up Boss card.

  3. Paste the key and test it

    Paste the key and select Test connection. Raileon checks it with Follow Up Boss before saving it.

  4. Confirm it is connected

    The Follow Up Boss card shows Connected. Ask your AI to look up a person to try it.

Disconnect Follow Up Boss

Open Apps, find the Follow Up Boss card and select Disconnect. To cut off access completely, also delete the API key in Follow Up Boss under Admin, then API.
