Connect Copper

Last updated

Connecting Copper lets your Modules find people, companies and opportunities in your Copper CRM, add new people and keep notes current.

What your Modules can do

  • Search people, companies and opportunities by name. Searching a person by email address finds an exact match.
  • Read a person with their recent activity.
  • Create a new person.
  • Add a note to a person, a company or an opportunity.

Looking things up happens straight away. Anything that changes Copper (a new person or a note) waits for your approval first. You see it in your approvals and decide whether it goes ahead.

Before you start

Copper checks your key together with the email of the user who made it, so have both ready. Your Modules see the same records that user can see. Copper only allows one person per email address, so a new person with an email already in Copper will not be added.

Connect Copper

  1. Create an API key in Copper

In Copper, open Settings, then Integrations, then API Keys. Choose Generate API Key and copy it.

  2. Open Apps

In your dashboard, go to Apps in the left sidebar and select Connect on the Copper card.

  3. Paste the key and your Copper email

Paste the key, then type the email of the Copper user who made it. Select Test connection. Raileon checks both with Copper before saving them.

  4. Confirm it is connected

The Copper card shows Connected. Ask your AI to look up a person to try it.

Disconnect Copper

Open Apps, find the Copper card and select Disconnect. To cut off access completely, also delete the API key in Copper under Settings, then Integrations.
