Can someone email as you?

Scammers don't need to break into your email to send a fake invoice or "new wiring instructions" in your name. If your domain isn't set up to block fakes, anyone can put your exact email address on a fake message, and many inboxes will deliver it. AI tools make fake emails and invoices look more convincing. So an email that looks right is no longer proof that it's real.

  • You'll check your own domain privately, on your own device. Nobody's domain or result goes on screen.
  • Recording: the session is recorded locally, presenter only. The recording shows the host's screen, camera and voice. Cameras and mics start off; turning yours on means you agree to be recorded.
  • Free. General information, not legal advice. See our Privacy Policy.

What happens live

30 minutes, plus 15 of optional questions. Plain English, and nobody's domain on screen.

  • How inboxes decide

In plain English: how an inbox decides whether to trust an email from your business, and what "protected" looks like. On screen we use only our own domain and a domain reserved for examples.

  • Why a fake looks real

The name is right, the address is right, and nobody broke in, so there's nothing to notice. AI tools make fake emails and invoices look more convincing. So an email that looks right is no longer proof that it's real.

  • Your own result, privately

During a 5-minute pause you check your own domain, on your own device: protected, partly protected or not protected. Only you see it. Nobody's domain or result goes on screen.

  • What you leave with

A one-page sheet for your IT person with the 4 steps that fix it, and a front-desk card with 3 payment checks that help stop a fake email from turning into a lost payment.
